Preparing for Your Visit
Patients are seen by appointment, although emergencies will be seen immediately when possible. Calling the office prior to bringing a child during office hours (even in the case of an emergency) will help us to respond promptly and efficiently to the needs of your child. Appointments can be made by calling the office at 336 510-5510.
Physical examinations for school activity participation are best done in a private office setting by physicians familiar with your child's medical history. Examinations provided through clinics sponsored by the schools are intended for those with no regular source of medical care and should not take the place of a regular comprehensive physical exam.
Our experienced nursing staff can answer many of your questions. A recommended reading list and educational materials for your child's health care issues are available upon request.
After Hours & Holidays
A physician is on call after hours and on holidays. The pediatrician on call can be reached by calling our office at 336 510-5510.
If your child needs a referral to other specialists or to community resources for specialized evaluation or treatment, we can help you select the resource most appropriate for your needs, and we will continue to work with you and your family to maintain continuity of care.
Payment & Insurance
As part of Cornerstone Health Care, our practice participates with most major health insurance plans. Our office staff will be able to tell you if your plan is accepted by our practice. As a courtesy to our patients, we will file claims to your insurance company and provide them with information to determine benefits. It is the responsibility of you and your insurance company to pay your medical bills. We suggest that you review your insurance policies carefully to determine what benefits are covered.
If you have a question concerning billing, please call Cornerstone Financial Services at 336 802-2000.
Electronic Medical Records
As a patient of Cornerstone Health Care, your child’s medical record is maintained through a secure system. This medical record is accessible to you, and those members of your medical team who must refer to it to treat your child. No other parties may access your child’s medical record without your signed permission.
