For patients with retinal problems such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, uvetitis, retinal vascular disease, hereditary retinal disease and other dystrophies, we offer diagnostic tests such as Flourescein Angiography and the latest generation of Ocular Coherent Tomography and provide medical and laser treatments in the office.
We utilize the latest pharmacological and medical advances for the treatment of Dry Eye Syndrome.
Our physicians are able to fit patients with virtually every kind of contact lens, including planned replacement, daily wear, extended wear, disposable, bifocal, rigid, soft, tinted, colored and astigmatic. We feature a huge inventory of in-stock contact lenses for immediate delivery to our patients.
To be eligible for laser vision correction surgery, you must be eighteen years of age or older; have had stable vision for at least one year before surgery; have healthy eyes that are free of disease, scars, retinal problems and corneal malformations; and have realistic expectations and objectives for surgery. If you meet these criteria and are interested in reducing your daily reliance on glasses, our physicians look forward to discussing the benefits of these procedures with you.
Also located at 1400 E. Hartley Drive, Cornerstone Eyewear is a comprehensive eyewear dispensary featuring all types of frames including:

Our patients are very satisfied with both the wide selection and the competitive prices. We believe that it is in the best interests of our patients to have their glasses fitted in our offices. This way we are assured of the best fit and may provide direct medical supervision, should it be necessary.
Preparing for Your Visit
We are open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
If you cannot keep your appointment, we ask that you give us 24 hours notice. Waiting time increases when patients are late for their appointments, so we ask that you arrive on time for your scheduled appointment as a courtesy to our other patients.
Please advise our office staff if your address, phone number or health insurance provider has changed since your last visit. This will enable us to expedite your check-in and assure that we are able to contact you at your new address or phone should it be necessary to do so. Please be sure to bring your current insurance information and be prepared to pay for those services that are not covered by your health plan when you check out with the receptionist.
Patient Phone Calls and After Hours
Telephone calls to our office are prioritized in order of medical urgency. If you require emergency care, please let our receptionist know so that we may direct you immediately to our nurse or physician. There is always a doctor available when the office is closed. Use our regular phone number for any after hours emergency.
Payment & Insurance
The cost of your visit is determined by the time we spend with you, the complexity of your condition, and by the tests necessary to properly diagnose and care for you. In an effort to keep our fees at a just and reasonable level, we request payment of the portion of the bill that is not covered by your health insurance at the time of service. Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance carrier. It is the responsibility of you and your insurance company to pay your medical bills. As a courtesy to our patients, we will file claims to your insurance company, and provide them information to determine benefits. Your insurance deductible must be met and paid for at the beginning of each year before your insurance coverage will come into effect. Our office is a participating provider with most major health insurance plans. Our office staff will be able to tell you if your plan is accepted by our practice. If your primary insurance is Medicare, please be aware that some secondary insurance policies do not cover your deductible. We suggest that you review your insurance policies carefully to determine what benefits are covered.
If you have a question concerning billing, please call Cornerstone Financial Services at 336 802-2000.
Patient confidentiality is carefully maintained with the utmost respect for your privacy. Information regarding your medical care will not be released to anyone without signed consent.
If you need a prescription refill, we ask that you contact our office during normal business hours. This process allows our physicians to review and complete your request accurately and appropriately.
