Elaine Feraru, MD
          Dr. Feraru received her BA degree, Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Psychology from Barnard College in New York, NY. Her medical degree was awarded by George Washington University. Dr. Feraru completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY and received her residency training in Neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, also in Bronx. Dr. Feraru completed a Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology (EEG and epilepsy) at The Children’s Hospital Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. She is certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is also certified in the interpretation of CT and MRI by the American Society of Neuroimaging. Dr. Ferraru’s specialty areas include headache, seizures and the neurological complications of AIDS.

C. Stephen Ford, MD
          Dr. Ford received his BA degree from Duke University and his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a Neurology residency at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, and received specialized Fellowship training in Cerebrovascular Diseases and MRI at Bowman Gray in Winston-Salem, and at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Dr. Ford is certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. He is also certified in the interpretation of CT and MRI by the American Society of Neuroimaging. He has a special interest in strokes.

John Gibson, MD
          Dr. Gibson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was awarded his Doctor of Medicine degree by Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem. Dr. Gibson also served his residency training in Neurology and an internship in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University. He completed a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine at the Hospice and Palliative CareCenter in Winston-Salem. Dr. Gibson is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key National Honors Society.

Chester Haworth, MD
          Dr. Haworth received his undergraduate degree from Guilford College in Greensboro and was awarded his medical degree by the Duke University Medical School. He served his residency at the Duke University North Carolina Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is also certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Haworth is certified in the interpretation of CT and MRI by the American Society of Neuroimaging. He has a special interest in seizures and attention span disorders.

Eric T. Moser, MD
          Dr. Moser received his BS degree from North Carolina State University in Raleigh. His medical degree was awarded by the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem. He completed a transitional and neurology residence year at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and served as Chief Resident. He also completed a Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Moser is certified in both neurology and pain management by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also certified in the interpretation of CT and MRI by the American Society of Neuroimaging. He has special interests in nerves and pain management.

Richard A. Sater, MD, Ph.D.
          Dr. Sater received his BS degree with high honors from the University of Florida. He was awarded his MD and PhD degrees by Duke University and completed a Neurology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Sater acquired additional Neuromuscular (EMG) and Neuroimmunology training during Fellowships at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Sater is certified in neurology, neurophysiology and pain management by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also certified in the interpretation of CT and MRI by the American Society of Neuroimaging. Dr. Sater is particularly interested in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuropathy.

Lirim Tonuzi, MD
          Dr. Tonuzi comes to High Point from Buffalo, NY, where he completed fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology at the State University of New York at Buffalo Consortium of Hospitals. He also served as Chief Resident in the Neurology Residency program and completed an Internal Medicine internship at that institution. Dr. Tonuzi served a mini-fellowship in EMG/Neuromuscular at Columbia University in New York, NY. Dr. Tonuzi was awarded his medical degree by the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine. He earned his undergraduate degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
