Dr. Ellis earned his undergraduate degree from the Military College of South Carolina and his graduate degree and residency training from the Medical University of South Carolina. He is board certified in Pediatrics and his special areas of study include child allergies.

Allison Poston, MD
Dr. Poston received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with honors and distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was Phi Beta Kappa. She was awarded her medical degree by the University of North Carolina School of Medicine where she received honors during her fourth year. Dr. Poston completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Kentucky in Lexington where she was named outstanding resident in Neonatology. Dr. Poston is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and holds national certification in both Neonatal Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Samuel Ravenel, MD
Samuel F. Ravenel, MD joined Cornerstone Pediatrics. He was awarded his Bachelor of Arts degree in English by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Ravenel served his Pediatric Residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk, VA. Dr. Ravenel has an extensive background in emergency preparedness having completed both Emergency Medical Technician and Wilderness Medicine training programs. He participated in the High School Sports Physicals Program in Norfolk, VA and held a leadership position in the Anti-smoking Campaign at Great Bridge Middle School in Chesapeake, VA.

Tasha Dial, MD
Dr. Dial received her Bachelor of Science degree at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans. She was awarded her Medical Degree by the University of South Alabama in Mobile where she was the Student National Medical Association President. Dr. Dial completed her Pediatric Residency at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. She is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Advanced Life Support. Dr. Dial is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Board Eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Kris Fleenor, NP-C
Certified Nurse Practitioner Kris Fleenor, NP-C earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She was awarded her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Winston-Salem State University, where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. Before joining Cornerstone Pediatrics in 2001, Ms. Fleenor served on the Oncology and Medical Surgical floors of High Point Regional Health System. Ms. Fleenor is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the American Nurses Association.

Racquel Tonuzi, MD
Dr. Tonuzi practices four days a week with Cornerstone Medical Associates, and one-half day a week with Cornerstone Pediatrics at their home office in the High Point Medical Center. Dr. Tonuzi comes to High Point from the State University of New York at Buffalo where she served as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Pediatrics. In addition to her teaching position, Dr. Tonuzi was Assistant Director of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program at Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, NY. Dr. Tonuzi was awarded her Bachelor of Arts degree by Cornell University School of Arts and Sciences in Ithaca, NY. She completed a Semester Abroad in the Kenya Upcountry/Uganda Program through the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT. She earned her medical degree at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Science in Buffalo, NY, where she also served a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics Residency with the Graduate Medical and Dental Education Consortium and was Site Coordinator for Osteopathic Medical Students Externships. Dr. Tonuzi is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Board Eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
