Martin Agbemabiese, MD
          Dr. Martin K. Agbemabiese was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from York College, The City University of New York, in Queens, NY with summa cum laude honors. He earned his medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT, where he was named a Scholar in Medicine. Dr. Agbemabiese completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital/NYU School of Medicine in Manhasset, NY, where he was Assistant Chief Resident. He is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Agbemabiese is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Jamila Bhatti, MD
          Dr. Bhatti was awarded her medical degree by Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. She also received a “Diploma in Child Health” from Mayo Hospital in Lahore. Dr. Bhatti served internships in Pediatrics at Services Hospital in Lahore, and in Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Bhatti completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester/Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, NY. She completed observerships in Psychiatry at High Point Regional Health System, and in Internal Medicine at Bethany Medical Center in High Point. Dr. Bhatti served externships in Neurology at WFUBMC and in Internal Medicine at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Dr. Bhatti is member of the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Internal Medicine. She certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Eric Chen, DO
          Dr. Chen was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in computer systems analysis by Miami University College of Applied Science in Oxford, OH. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, OH. Dr. Chen also holds a Master of Business Administration from Ohio University. Dr. Chen served his osteopathic pediatric internship at Doctor’s Hospital, Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Columbus, OH. He completed a residency in combined pediatrics and internal medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Chen is board certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Dr. Chen practiced as an associate staff member at Wishard Memorial Hospital at the Pediatric Urgent Visit Center, Department of Pediatrics in Indianapolis, IN.

Jenny Deyto, PA
          Certified Physician Assistant , Jenny V. Deyto , has also joined Cornerstone Inpatient Services. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs from George Washington University in Washington, DC and a Master of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO,where she also completed a Master's practicum in Pediatric Urology. Ms. Deyto is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is also certified in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants .

Tanya Moore, PAC
          Certified Physician Assistant Tanya F. Moore received a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She completed the Physician Assistant program at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and earned a Master of Medical Science degree with a concentration in hospitalist medicine and critical care from Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, WV. During her medical training she gained clinical experience in several disciplines including family medicine and internal medicine through the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Jerry Powell, MD
          Dr. Powell was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology by East Carolina University in Greenville, NC. His medical degree was earned at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Dr. Powell’s Internal Medicine residency training was served at Brody School of Medicine and University Health Systems of Eastern North Carolina. Prior to joining Cornerstone Dr. Powell served as medical advisor for the Quality Assurance Team at Bertie Memorial Hospital in Windsor, NC. He also served as medical advisor for their Infectious Disease Department, and for the Home Health Care of University Health Systems in Windsor. As a physician with Cashie Medical Center, he provided outpatient and inpatient primary care for adolescents and adults in rural NC.

David Tarter, MD
          Dr. Tarter was awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. His medical degree was awarded with distinction by the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington, KY. Dr. Tarter served residencies and internships in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, NC. He served as a preceptor in an "Introduction to the Medical Profession" course, "Introduction to Clinical Medicine" course and in Physical Examination. He has received several awards for his resident teaching skills and his Clinical Vignette posters. Prior to joining Cornerstone, Dr. Tarter treated patients at Tarboro Urgent Care Clinic in Tarboro, NC. He is a member of the National Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Resident Association, the American College of Physicians – American Society of Internal Medicine, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Tarter is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
