High Point OB/GYN Associates was founded over thirty years ago by Dr. Kay Williams who
was joined shortly thereafter by Dr. James Fulton with the objective of bringing the most
comprehensive and advanced obstetric and gynecologic care to our patients. This commitment
continues through our ongoing expansion of our services to provide state-of-the-art care for every
stage of a woman's life -- from adolescence through childbearing and past menopause. Our
physicians are all trained specialists with extensive experience in the most
innovative types of preventive and therapeutic care, including laparoscopic surgery and
advanced prenatal testing.

Comprehensive care: We are truly your health care partner. We provide ample
time for patient education and help you understand the goals of prevention and, if a problem
is diagnosed, will carefully explain your options for treatment and answer all your questions.
Skilled expertise: Sharing a commitment to providing the most effective and
advanced Ob-Gyn services, our medical team is active in post-graduate education. All of our physicians
are board-certified and are Fellows of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Personal attention: Our registered nurses work closely with the physicians to provide
prenatal and pre-surgical counseling. We also offer our patients and their families numerous
videotapes and brochures on various topics of women's health care.
Our Staff
Our team includes a certified physician assistant, nurses, medical technicians and administrative
personnel. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your health care, please consult a member
of our experienced staff. Together, we strive to provide our patients reassurance, compassion and support
at a level that is exceedingly rare.
Well-Woman Gynecology
We stress the importance of yearly examinations for early detection and treatment. With prevention
as a priority, we offer a full range of well-woman services including:
- Yearly physicals and pap smears
- Breast exams and self-exam instruction
- Birth control
- Treatment for PMS
- Hormone replacement therapy for menopause
- Treatment of all gynecologic infections and STDs
- Confidential HIV testing
Our Office Facilities
Laboratory testing: Most laboratory testing can be collected in our office
for your convenience. We offer pregnancy tests, urine and blood analysis, and infertility
evaluations.
Expanded use of the ultrasound: Ultrasound is a vital, proven tool for
prenatal diagnosis. It enables our physicians to track the development of your baby. With
vaginal and abdominal probes, we also use the ultrasound to diagnose certain gynecologic
problems, such as ovarian cysts or an enlarged uterus. High Point OB/GYN is one of the first
facilities in the state of North Carolina to be accredited for ultrasound testing.
Modern Surgical Techniques
Innovative techniques and technologies allow us to perform many surgeries in our office or
in an outpatient setting. By using minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy, we are
able to help our patients recover rapidly with less scarring and discomfort.
Our surgeons specialize in all gynecologic surgeries including colposcopy, hysteroscopy,
operative laparoscopy, vaginal or abdominal hysterectomy and incontinence surgery.
Your Referrals
Your referral is the ultimate compliment of your trust in our practice. Our appointment book is
always open for a friend or family member. We welcome new patients and encourage you to let us
know if you make a referral.
Prescriptions
Prescription requests should be called in before 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. For prescription
refills, call your pharmacy and they will call or FAX us to confirm.
Your Office Visit
To allow ample time for your visit, we prefer to see patients by appointment. Should you have
a medical emergency during office hours, please let our receptionist know. She will make every effort
to provide you with an emergency appointment. We participate with most major carriers as well as
Medicare and Medicaid.
