General Office Information
Welcome to Cornerstone Pediatrics! We welcome the opportunity to care for your child. Cornerstone
Pediatrics cares for patients from the newborn period through college graduation. Our staff includes
well-trained nurses and office assistants who collectively have decades of experience in working
with children. Each of our physicians is Board-Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Our regularly scheduled office hours are 8:30 am to 7:00 pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30 am to 6:00 pm on Fridays. Extended hours are scheduled on weekends and holidays for urgent care. A physician is on call after hours and on
holidays. The pediatrician on call can be reached by calling our office at 802-2100. Any changes
from our usual office schedule due to inclement weather will be announced on WGHP, Fox 8.
Patients are seen by appointment, although emergencies will be seen immediately. Calling the office
prior to bringing a child during office hours (even in the case of an emergency) will help us to
respond promptly and efficiently to the needs of your child. Appointments can be made by calling
the office at 802-2100.
We have separate well and sick entrances and waiting rooms. Patients being seen for checkups should
use the well entrance. Patients being seen for ill visits and on weekends and holidays should use the sick
entrance.
Many of the more frequently performed laboratory tests can be done in our office. Additional testing
may be done either by the Cornerstone Lab or the Spectrum Lab, both conveniently located in the Medical Center.
X-ray studies may be performed at the Cornerstone Imaging Center located as well in the Medical Center.
The pediatricians at Cornerstone Pediatrics also care for children with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder
using both medicine and non-medicine approaches to treatment. Please contact the ADHD coordinator in
our office regarding these appointments.
We welcome you to our practice and encourage your questions. Our experienced nursing staff can
answer many of your questions. However, if you desire to speak to your physician, he/she will return
your call as soon as time permits. Recommended reading and educational materials for your child's
health care issues are available upon request.

time to best fit your schedule. Acutely ill children arriving without an appointment will be seen as
soon as possible. However, there may be delays in being seen in this situation.
In order to avoid undue waiting, we ask your cooperation in scheduling checkups as far ahead as
possible. In general, physical examinations are scheduled between 8:30 am and 4:45 pm Physical
examinations for school activity participation are best done in a private office setting by
physicians familiar with your child's medical history and where other health records are available.
Examinations provided through clinics sponsored by the schools are intended for those with no regular
source of medical care and should not take the place of a regular comprehensive physical exam.

The pediatrician on call can be reached through our nurse triage at the usual office number. Our nurse
can often answer many of your questions. However, in the case of an emergency, the pediatrician will

please call our on-call physician before taking your child to the ER. Many after hours urgent medical
care needs can be handled in the office at a considerably lower expense and timelier than in the ER.
